But if you are serious about getting rid of your Candida, then this is one of the best ways to do it.
What is it?
The diet for Candida is a three stage process designed to do two things;
- Starve the Candida fungus - Candida love sugar, refined carbos, mold, basically everything that we all love. Starving the fungus of these foods is essential to cleansing your body of Candida.
- Eradicate allergens/sensitivities. Candida takes a hold within us because our immune system has failed usually through overwork, and food sensitivities and allergies play an enormous role here. Because many of us wont know what we are allergic to, the first stage of the Candida diet is vital to identifying what foods dont agree with us.
Truthfully the hardest part at the beginning of the Candida diet is sorting out what you can and cant eat. Cooking it is no problem mainly stir fries and salads. You could even end up spending less time in the kitchen creating your meals.

How much more will I have to spend on the Candida Cleanse Diet?
The cost of the diet is almost completely dictated by your ability to get fresh vegetables - lettuce doesn't freeze darn it! It is also worthwhile to note that if your grocery bill is made up of processed or prepackaged foods, flour or 'treats', then there is a good chance that you may be able to save money.

Stage 1 of the Candida Cleanse Diet
No matter which program you follow, every Candida Cleanse Diet starts with this stage. This is where we start the process of killing the Candida by removing all likely food sources and this is also where we remove any foods that are stopping our immune system from functioning.
This is a very general list of foods that we need to immediately remove from our diet;
sugar (including fruit, fruit juice and artificial sweeteners)
carbohydrates (simple or otherwise),
starch,
yeast,
mold,
gluten,
wheat or
dairy
Fermented foods like soy sauce, vinegar and alcohol are also out.
Some programs say that whole grains like amaranth, buckwheat and millet, low sugar fruits like pineapple or papaya, cottage cheese and unsweetened yogurt containing live cultures are fine at this stage. Others say no way!
The best advice I can offer here is to go with what you feel is right.
If you are unsure, then do not eat it, but if you feel that it is OK then go ahead, but limit them to really small portions once a day.
Stage 2 of the Candida Cleanse Diet
This is where we start to add foods back into our diet. Add new foods really slowly - one serving a day to start with. This will allow your digestive system time to fully digest the new food and you time to note any reaction to it.
It is so important to note whether you have any reaction at all to the food that you introduce, as this will tell you which foods you are sensitive to. A reaction can be a subtle as a foggy feeling or as overt as a full blown recurrence of all symptoms..
Stage 3 of the Candida Cleanse Diet
Stage 3 is basically when you have reintroduced most of your normal foods without incidence.
Now that we have got some sort of control over the fungus thanks to the Candida Cleanse Diet, we need to heal the physical damage done as well as help our kidneys and liver dispose of the dead fungus and its toxins.
